STAGS SET FOR RUSHALL FRIENDLY
23rd July 2002 15:58

The Stags travel to Rushall Olympic of the Midland Alliance League tonight, a place well known to Stags manager Stuart Watkiss. Watkiss is a former player of tonight's opponents and he's looking forward to returning there this evening, "Rushall have a great little set up and I'm sure they'll look after us very well. I've a lot to thank the club for and by taking a side there tonight is the least I can do." New signing Matt Gadsby will be on show for the first time tonight along with Scott Sellars, as he makes his return to the club. Trialists Chris Holloway and Hugh Murray will also make their first public appearance in a Stags shirt tonight as the lads try to impress the manager and stake a claim for a contract with the club. Tonight will also give a chance to some of the Field Mill youngsters as players like Allen Tankard, Dion Scott and Stuart Reddington all miss out due to injury. Watkiss says, "Tonight's game will give me a great opportunity to look at my players, especially lads who haven't figured in the friendlies so far and to see how young Matt adapts to his new team mates." Tonight's match at Rushall, kicks off at 7.30. Starting Line up: Bingham, Hassell, Clarke, Gadsby, Jervis, Murray, Holloway, Williamson, Sellars, Bradley, Bacon.
