Chillingworth, who last found the net while on loan at Leyton Orient in December 2004, is currently on loan at County after being told he can leave Rushden & Diamonds. Thordarson said: "It was a vital goal for us because it's ended our run of five straight defeats. The goal was a bit scrappy but we put Mansfield under pressure and Chillingworth got his toe to the cross. I'm delighted for him because he's a committed lad who works very hard." Mansfield manager Peter Shirtliff said: "I'm disappointed for the players that they didn't win after getting their noses in front, but credit to Notts County because they sent men forward and wouldn't let us rest. "Giles Coke should have won it for us at the end when he was clean through and hit the post but, to be honest, the way the game was going at half time I would have settled for a point at that stage." --------------- |
