Shirtliff in D'Laryea chase Peter Shirtliff has made further contact with Manchester City's Stuart Pearce in a bid to bring back Jonathan D'Laryea to Field Mill: "I was impressed with Jonathan during his three months here and would like to see him returning to Field Mill. I have spoken to Stuart Pearce again and I am just awaiting a reply from Manchester City. I will be looking at other players this week as well, I have arranged a couple of games that I will be watching to check out some players that hopefully I can bring to the club Jonathan did pick up an injury to his calf during the Shrewsbury game so is out of action at the moment anyway but I will be doing my best to get him back here." He told the official website this afternoon. Meanwhile Rhys Day has seen a specialist this morning with a view to see whether the hernia he has been carrying all season requires a remedial operation or not. The former could see him out of action for some time in which case Peter Shirtliff will be looking at bringing in a centre half as cover, although he is not yet sure whether it would be a loan deal or a permanent signing. |
