Matt Gadsby has been allowed by Walsall to join the Stags pre-season training, with a view to a 3 month loan spell at Field Mill, reports Saddlers.co.uk.
Colin Lee said "I feel that it will be beneficial for both the player and the club to allow him to go out on loan. It presents Matt with the opportunity to get first-team football and build up his match fitness levels. We have an option to recall him should we need him here, so it's a deal that suits all parties involved."
Saddlers.co.uk profile: The youngster has been on the fringes of the first-team for several seasons and is expected to eventually make the step up to first-team regular after an extremely consistent couple of years at reserve team level. An assured and level-headed player whose footballing brain belies his tender years, he is able to comfortably fill both a defensive and midfield role and as such has an important part to play in the months and years ahead.
