HASLAM PROTESTS CONTINUE
3rd January 2006 16:28

Pressure on Keith Haslam, from incensed Stags fans, continues to increase at every match.

With banners now banned inside Field Mill, three banners were on display on Quarry Lane before the Lincoln game, shown below (photo by Photoguy):

At Oxford, banners were also banned after an official from Mansfield Town requested that Oxford did not allow them to be shown. However one was clearly on display until stewards wrestled it down:
Meanwhile A4 posters were also displayed by many supporters at Oxford:

Chanting of "Haslam out" was very loud from the majority of the 215 Stags fans at the game, and could clearly be heard on the 103.2 radio commentary.

At the Bristol Rovers game, stewards once again refused to allow banners to be displayed "on safety grounds" (ha ha). A number of young supporters showed their displeasure at the banning:

Meanwhile, supporters in the Upper Tier of the West Stand released hundreds of yellow balloons, all saying “I O U £1m”, into the Director's box. Large numbers of supporters then joined in with chants of “Haslam Out”. It is understood that at least one supporter was banned from Field Mill as a result of this “safety breach”.
