Stags Reserves had there second outing in two weeks at Saltergate last night.

The first half saw mainly first team fringe players and there was alledgedly a few howlers from Gavin Peers (poor clearance)

Jason White (kicking clear straight to the Spirites Centre Forward) among other instances which saw the Stags 3 - 0 down at Half-time.

The second half saw a vast improvement however the Stags conceded another further goal when Jason White upended a
Spireites striker.

The Stags got there game together well at periods and created chances Day headed home from a Jones cross, and Heron scored with a lob over the home keeper.

Sound performances throughout from Jacobs in defence and Lloyd and Jones in midfield, though some of the other 1st team fringe players should be disappionted with their efforts.

White 5 - Couple of mistakes unusually
Jacobs 7 - Good Display, looked good going forward
Day 5 - Steady
Trialist 5 - Steady
Talbot 5 - As Jacobs ok going forward
Jones 7 - Busy in midfield
McLachlan 5 - Poor
Peers 5 - Looked out of position in midfield
Lloyd 7 - Worked Hard all over the park
Littlejohn 5 - Didnt show up front
Arnold 6 - Good touches but didnt threaten at all

Story by Paul Fisher 6 October 2005

Win for the second string.

The reserves had a good win over local rivals Mansfield Town, a brace apiece from Mark Debolla and Tcham N'Toya was enough to see off the Stags. Three thirty minute sessions with agreement from the Stags management saw the Spireites win the first session 3-1 then 1-0 then to lose 1-0 in the final session.

It was good to see Debolla and N'Toya get a run out also Alex Bailey who is recovering from a knee injury.

Full Team.
