KITAMIRIKE JOINS DUNDEE
17th January 2005 12:39

Dundee have landed former England youth international Joel Kitamirike on a free transfer.

Kitamirike has signed a two-year contract at Dens Park after impressing Dark Blues boss Jim Duffy during a trial.

Duffy worked with Kitamirike during his time in charge of Chelsea's youth team and was happy to hand the 20-year-old a deal.

The defender has most recently been on non-contract terms at Mansfield Town and is delighted to have the chance to work with Duffy again.

"I'm glad to be here," Kitamirike told the club's official website.

"Jim Duffy really impressed me when he was in charge of the youth set-up at Stamford Bridge.

"I think he's a fantastic manager and I'm delighted to get the chance to work with him again."
