The Stags are number 26 in the draw.

WE'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER
Tuesday, 26 October 2004.

At just after 5pm on Saturday, the draw for the First Round of The FA Cup
takes place at Soho Square.
Former Liverpool stars John Aldridge and John Scales will pick the balls
from the bag to see who lines up against who when the competition proper
begins on 13th October.

The draw will be live on BBC One and you can also listen to Radio Five Live
coverage with us here on TheFA.com.

ONES TO WATCH

The First Round is actually the seventh stage of The FA Cup. It all started
for 146 teams in the Extra Preliminary Round back on 28th August 2004 and
two still remain. In fact, Liversedge and Coalville Town are playing each
other on Saturday and will ensure that one EP club will make it through to
potentially meet a Football League giant. The winner will go into the hat
with the ball number 62.

League One's top side Luton Town, the highest placed team in the draw, will
be ball 24, while MK Dons will be 27.

John Aldridge's former club Tranmere are number 44, 1990 semi-finalists
Oldham are number 30 and Sheffield Wednesday, who suffered Final defeat at
the hands of Arsenal in 1993, they'll be ball 37.

HOW THE NUMBERS ARE DECIDED

From the First Round Proper onwards the draws are national. First, the
previously exempt clubs, in this case the Football League One and League Two
sides, are numbered alphabetically and the remainder of clubs will follow on
in their match number order from the previous round.
