STAGS BEATEN IN LAST TWO MINUTES

Att: 8868 (112 from Mansfield) Martin Shaw and Jeff Barnes at Vetch Field Mansfield Town were beaten by a last gasp diving header from substitute Adrian Forbes at a rocking Vetch Field this evening. The home side were generally the better side, but it was agony for the Stags to concede the late goal, which allowed the Swans to go top. The Stags were under pressure for much of the game and had to survive many corners and shots from the home side but a fine performance from the back four and Pilkington so nearly earned a precious point. In truth the Stags looked lightweight in midfield and attack where Larkin had the Stags best chance on the hour but was denied by a great save.
