YOUNG KEEPER COATES TRAINS WITH WALES U21
29th April 2004 21:13

mansfieldtown.net reports that nineteen year old Stags goalkeeper James Coates, already a capped player with his native Wales Under 17 and Under 19's, has just returned from a call up to a training camp for the Under 21's.

He said "It was most exciting when the call came through, I know it was a training camp but I have already made appearances in the U17 and U19 squads so to get the opportunity for the U21's is absolutley superb.

Glynn Hodges and Clayton Blackmore, the management team for the U21 squad, were aided by the senior partnership of Mark Hughes and Gary Speed offering young Coates the chance to impress his shot-stopping talents on the big boys of the national squad.
