ROBBO DISAPPOINTED
1st May 2002 11:50

Les Robinson has tipped Stuart Watkiss to be a top manager despite being disappointed by the news he has been transfer listed by the Stags boss.
The Town skipper said there was no problem between him and Watkiss even though he has been put on the transfer list with a year to go on his contract.
The veteran defender said: "There is no bitterness and I am sure Stuart will go on to be a very good manager.
"He has a good team around him and I wish them all the best for next season whether I am here or not.
"It is not a problem, the gaffer has to make these decisions and if I can can get fixed up elsewhere I will go, if not I'll be back here anyway.
"I really thought I would end my career here at Mansfield but that does not look as if it's meant to be.
"But that's football and I am lucky that I have had a career where I have always been fancied by one manager or another so I am not too worried.
"I have loved every minute of coming back to Mansfield. The fans have been superb and it's just a shame I am not in next season's plans."
