CURLE PRAISES STAGS' PERSISTENCE

Mansfield manager Keith Curle praised his side's persistence, after they came back from two goals down to grab a point in a six goal thriller at Field Mill.

Craig Disley's late equaliser followed goals by David Artell and Rhys Day, after a Jonathan Stead double had twice given Huddersfield the lead.

Curle said: "It's definitely a point gained in the end. We have a belief in the changing room and I know they will keep going for 90 minutes physically and mentally.

"It was a highly entertaining game that had the lot. We gave Huddersfield a run for their money after gifting them a two goal start, but we scored at the right time just before half time which made my job easier to pick them up at the break.

"I put three up front in the second half which put them on the back foot and we managed to fight back and get a point."
