GANNON CAN'T BELIEVE STAGS CAME AWAY POINTLESS
Evening Post website Mansfield assistant manager John Gannon believes his side deserved at least a point after watching the Stags lose at Torquay. Matthew Hockley's first half strike was enough to condemn Mansfield to their second consecutive league defeat. "It was a game we truly dominated from start to finish," said Gannon. "I can't believe we got nothing from that. "They scored a goal when we didn't pick up a runner into the box, which was very disappointing but it was one of a very small number of openings for Torquay. I can count the chances they had on one hand. "It was a massive improvement from Saturday's game at Doncaster. I would say we did everything right up until the final third but didn't take our chances. "I cannot believe we haven't come away from here with a point but the players must learn to take their chances." |
