Curle upbeat about Stags show
Mansfield Town player-manager Keith Curle was looking on the bright side after seeing the Stags go down 2-1 to Stockport County in the LDV Vans Trophy first round.
Rhys Day's goal on the hour gave Curle hope of a minor upset at Field Mill, before Stuart Barlow's second strike of the game decided the issue five minutes from time.
Curle told the Nottingham Evening Post: "Take away the first 15 minutes and the performance was excellent, I could not have asked for more.
"I was disappointed to have lost, but there were a lot of positives to be taken.
"We caused them problems and Kevin Pilkington hardly had to make a save in the second half."
