Loan Striker Signs http://www.harrogatetown.com Harrogate Town have signed striker Craig Mitchell on loan from Mansfield Town. The Mansfield born 18-year old will be at Wetherby Road until 8 November, and is expected to be in the squad for Saturday's match against Frickley Athletic. According to mansfieldtown.net, he is a product of the youth system at Field Mill and has "the charisma, pace and abilities to be a threat to many professional back rows". He made his Football League debut on 18 January 2003, in Mansfield's 2 - 1 Division Two win at Chesterfield. The 6ft 3in forward scored his first league goal on 8 February 2003, in Mansfield's 3 - 2 home win against local rivals Notts County. Mansfield have loaned Mitchell, who is on the fringe of their first team, to Harrogate Town so that he can get regular match play as they don't have a reserves team. |
