EATON BACK IN TRAINING
6th October 2003 21:40

BBC.co.uk:
Mansfield defender Adam Eaton has been given the all-clear to step up his comeback from a serious groin injury.
Eaton, 23, required surgery on the problem, which has kept him sidelined since the middle of April.
The former Preston full-back has now rejoined manager Keith Curle's squad to start training and rehabilitation work.
Midfielder Lee Williamson should also move closer to a return following surgery with a 90-minute run-out in a friendly on Monday.

The long term absence of Adam Eaton could finally be coming to an end. Eaton fresh back from his operation to a bad groin strain that could have quite easily signalled the end of his career returned today to join his team mates and under take his first day of rehabilitation training.

Bobby Hassell, missing the last two games due to a stomach virus is now fully fit and fighting for his place from Jamie Clarke who has done some sterling work in the right back position so Bobby will have to prove himself to win his place back in keeping with Curle's regime of "if you play well you keep your place if not somebody else is waiting to take it"
