CURLE DISMAYED AT RED CARDS BUT DELIGHTED WITH WIN
Evening Post website
Cambridge United 1 v 2 Mansfield Town
Mansfield manager Keith Curle was dismayed with his side's two sendings off, but delighted after seeing his charges sneak three points in a dramatic game.

Liam Lawrence's penalty grabbed them the win, after earlier action had seen Kevin Pilkington save a penalty, Craig Disley open the scoring and Iyseden Christie and Rhys Day sent off for the Stags.

He said: "It was a victory out of adversity. I told them that today was the day they had to go out and be men, and they did just that.

"As for the two red cards, the first was two innocuous challenges by Iyseden Christie and for Rhys Day's, the referee has just misinterpreted the rules.

"I approached the referee at half time to ask him about Christie's first yellow, and the policemen came across and prodded me in the chest in an aggressive manner.

"I even had my Chairman in the dressing room at halftime. It was all very emotional."
