CURLE SMILING AFTER HEFTY STAGS WIN
Mansfield Town 5 v 3 Bury
Keith Curle beamed after his Stags took the spoils in an eight-goal thriller at Field Mill.
Junior Mendes, Wayne Corden (2) and Liam Lawrence (2) all netted for the hosts and Curle said: "That was great entertainment and must have been great to watch for the neutrals.
"There were two very good teams out there trying to play football the right way. Even at 4-3 I still felt confident. I take a lot of positives out of that game. "Clearly there were a few negatives that will have to be looked at but I am a positive person and with the players we had available we scored five goals and created numerous chances.
"I don't like giving teams a goal start but there is a belief in our dressing room that we won't give in."
Curle played Mendes in a lone role up front, admitting: " I went to a supporters meeting this week and they were telling me I couldn't play 4-4-1-1 at home, but after that why not?"
