YOUTHFUL STAGS BEATEN AT ARNOLD TOWN

Stagsnet report by John Street at Arnold A large element of the Stags squad to travel to Nottingham on Wednesday night was from the new intake for this season and were the current Under 17 players. In front of a decent crowd who had to compete with a similarily sizeable crowd for the local Market being held across the road to get into the ground. On this basis the Stags turned in a fighting performance and while they learnt a few lessons they fought there way back after going a goal down and kept the game alive until the end. Only Mitchell out of the 3rd Years Players at Stags was involved and Lloyd, Mulligan, Jones, and Hankey of the 2nd Years some of which had been involved in previous nights affairs at Clipstone and Worksop also. The first years stuck to there task well and following Hankeys equaliser caused a scare for Arnold Town. The credit goes to the first years for a battling performance against lads 4 or 5 years there senior. |
