Could you please ensure that you arrive the ground early – Even though there is no worry about getting in because it is an all ticket game, there will be large crowds so you should leave yourselves at least 45 minute to find your seats before kickoff.
We accept that in seasons past, that after the final whistle the fans have invaded the pitch. This year however there is an anticipated full house which means that as nearly 10,000 people stream onto the pitch the risk of somebody getting seriously hurt is vastly increased. Security Officer Barrie Maltby has requested that “the fans not invade the pitch after the game this year as in years gone by there have been smaller crowds of around 5000, this year we are anticipating nearer 10,000 and this will be very dangerous so please allow the players to do a lap of honour without the risk of injury.” Source: mansfieldtown.net |
