"We had plenty of recruitment meetings building up to the end of the season, because we had to plan for whether we were going to be in League One or League Two.
"A couple of the targets we've signed, Hiram and Christy Pym, were two that we wanted to sign if we got promoted. So the fact we've got them and we're still in League Two is great and gives us hope for the season.
"And we've got Scott Flinders too. He was one we'd more or less agreed before we'd even played Northampton.
"The two lads from Forest were loan targets if we were in League Two. Probably if we were in League One, would the step up have been too much we don't know? But let's see if they can cope with League Two first. The first signs have been very good and they've settled in well.
"And on the whole we wanted to keep the squad in tact. There wasn't major surgery needed.
"We might bring in one or two more players, one might go out. On the whole it's really settled."
"There is quite a few out of contract next summer and we'll have to address that over the course of the season because we don't want to get to May and be giving a load of new contracts out or be struggling to tie them down.
