Mansfield Town owners John and Carolyn Radford are ready for Wembley
bbc.co.uk, 26 May 2022

John: "We're going to Wembley. That's an occasion in itself. I'm just so pleased to get there. Joyous moments.
"We'd love to win.
"I'm quite chilled about it, Carolyn gets very nervous about it.
"It's Wembley but I'm cool about it."

Carolyn: "It will be a wonderful occasion for everyone to get together and celebrate the experience.
"We have to accept whatever happens, happens. But maybe, just maybe, this is our time."
"Hopefully we get the win, but if not we dust ourselves down and try again.
John: "... we carry on.

John: "My heart's bursting with pride. I'm so proud of Mansfield, the fans, and the reaction we're getting from the town."

John: "We're going to try to continue up the football pyramid.
"And make the club stronger and better.
"And make it more a family club. We are very family orientated."
Carolyn: "We just won again the family award from the EFL. Being winners of that is showing which direction the football club is going in."

Carolyn: "John always says if we go up the Football League then we'll be able to do something with Bishop Street stand. He does know that he's signed a piece of paper to me on that one!"
John: (laughs) "Yes"
Q: "is that a promise?"
John: "I think so yes."

John Radford reveals why he is confident Mansfield Town have got what it takes to beat Port Vale
chad.co.uk, By Stephen Thirkill

John Radford believes Stags have finally got that magic mix needed to secure promotion this season.

Mansfield Town are now one game away from finally winning promotion to League One - three years after they blew it against MK Dons.

But the Stags chairman is confident they have the team spirit and quality to get the job done at Wembley.

“Being the Stags chairman I have had plenty of heartaches and it would be nice to have some fixes done,” he said.

“I think we have got it this season and I really think we’ve got a good chance of going up.

“I think the manager and the players fit well together. There's no disorder in the camp and the spirit is there, even from the players who aren't on the pitch.”

“We have a fantastic group of players and a fantastic manager.”

And Radford also spoke of his pride at taking Mansfield to Wembley on what is going to be a massive football weekend for Nottinghamshire.

“It's a fantastic experience to know we are taking Mansfield to Wembley,” he added.

“Hopefully it's going to be a fantastic weekend for Nottinghamshire.

“The support has been brilliant all season. When we were at the bottom of the league the fans were still behind us.

“I was watching a lot of games on iFollow and all you could hear were Stags fans.

“The club is going from strength to strength and we are all getting behind the manager and the team.”
