Mansfield Town's official supporters' club, the Stags Supporters' Association, has kindly donated £2,900 towards the instalment of pigeon netting in the Quarry Lane Stand at One Call Stadium, we are pleased to announce.

The netting has been installed in the Quarry Lane Stand primarily due to the location of the club’s family stand, which can be found in Blocks A and B.

Netting is used to prevent birds from nesting in or entering certain areas, and has been installed to keep the Quarry Lane Stand and family area clean and safe throughout the season.

Dean Foulkes, chairman of the Stags Supporters' Association, said: “The club identified the pigeon netting as an investment that would improve the health and safety at One Call Stadium, and approached the SSA about the potential to fund this netting.

“Following talks with the club, we agreed to fund the pigeon netting in the Quarry Lane Stand, as the stand includes the club's family area.

“The SSA would like to thank its members, whose funds allow us to financially support the club with this nature of request.

“We are currently writing to our existing members ahead of the 2021/22 season, but if you wish to join the SSA, you can do so online at http://www.thessa.org, or by leaving your details and payment at the club ticket office in a sealed envelope, addressed ‘FAO SSA.’”

The club extends its gratitude to the Stags Supporters' Association for its ongoing support and generosity.
