Stags win award for ‘Away Fan Experience’
mansfieldtown.net, Monday 25th January 2021 Mansfield Town have been named as League Two’s winners of the ‘Away Fan Experience’ from 2019-20, the English Football League have announced. It follows another gong for the Stags, who were crowned as the division’s Family Club of the Year in 2019, and received a Gold Award for family excellence the year after. The Stags came out on top after each club in the division was assessed on the matchday experience offered to visiting supporters when fans were allowed inside football stadia. In their remarks, the EFL said that the Stags ‘excelled at each touchpoint of the away fan journey’. The report added: ‘Mansfield Town’s latest Away Fan Experience report is yet another example of the noticeable culture of engagement that has prevailed for some time now at the club. ‘The stewarding was some of the best ever seen. Common sense applied and stewards knew how to use engagement to take the sting out of situations. They treated everybody like adults’. The club’s supporters’ liaison officer, Danielle Hett, said: “This award signifies another leap forward for the club in engaging with all who visit One Call Stadium on a home matchday. “Mansfield Town Football Club prides itself on being a family-friendly club and welcomes everyone through its doors. “We have a fine team on the pitch, and that is matched by the team off-the-field, including our kiosk staff and stewards who have contributed significantly to enhancing the overall matchday experience at One Call Stadium.” Danielle added: “We’re greatly looking forward to welcome back supporters, both home and away, to One Call Stadium when safe to do so.” --------------------- |
