After being in contact with Ben Williams, a spokesman for Nottingham Forest IFC it has been decided to try and arrange a fixture between our two sides for this coming Saturday, the 11th.

Earlier on this season, Forest came to Mansfield to play against FTYBR FC and with a little bit of help from ourselves, as in we gave them four players, two of whom scored, Forest went away with a 4-1 win. It was decided then that we would return the compliment and travel to Nottingham at some point of the season. That point is now.

There was disappointment last weekend when FTYBR FC's game with Notts County team, Sporting Wheelbarrow was postponed by the Council due to a frosty pitch. There was a possibility then that there could be a game against Forest in the pipeline and thanks to an e-mail from Ben Williams that game is now a strong possibility. Ben confirming that he would be booking a pitch and letting his players know on Monday.

Forest are currently 11th in the IFA table having played 11, won 6, drawn 2 and lost 3. They have scored 34 and conceded 19.

It signals the start of a very busy period for the Mansfield supporters side with 4 games and a tournament to be played within the next four weeks.

Confirmation and details of where the game will take place will follow shortly.
