This is why I despise them so much, the threads attacking us just because they are about to be relegated, they are deluded in the extreme, they seem to think they are some massive club who are far superior than us,they are going to get a shock if they think they can bounce straight back with their current squad,I remember their gloating and genuine pleasure when we were suffering under Haslam,I for one wouldn't blink an eye if they folded, the only thing i would miss would be the fixture itself. It will be the icing on the cake when they get thumped at Sheffield Utd on the 30th.

I unfortunately live and work in Chesterfield and proudly go jogging in the amber and blue. Usually it's quite peaceful but tonight on this occasion I had a couple of cars drive past shouting scab scab scab. Obviously hurting from the reality of league 2 football next season.

My wife is from Chesterfield, consequently I have spent a lot of time there,I also have worked there,I made no secret of where i was from and occasionally had the odd derogatory remark, usually when I wasn't around to defend myself.COYS :coys:

I get the same. Live 2 mins from Holmebrook Valley Park. They had a kids 6 a side tournament on there in the summer, and there were 2 Stags teams down there playing. You could hear neutral fans rooting for the opposite teams just coz they were playing against Mansfield.

A preseason game against "Championship" side Sheffield Utd is rubbing it in abit for their fans hey?! This season, same league, next season a big preseason game against a championship club!

Sold 350 season tickets so far. I assume JR and t'board are waiting to see whether we can produce a miracle and get promoted before announcing ours. ;)

Caldwell "The academy is doing a fantastic job and we won't be selling any assets".

Carson "The club is losing £1m a year with the deficit being plugged by player sales".

Chezzy had a little lamb which made a noise like mooing,
It made this noise 'cos like the club it didn't know what is was doing.
Pessimists are never disappointed.

I like the 20 years on report from when David Ellery became a Mansfield Town fan we should name a refreshment kiosk after him in the North Stand. With a sign keep behind the line.

Haha 20Mil before any new buyer can clear the decks and start doing it their way. They may just be in for a very long barron patch unless a local business man with a vested interest in them wants to save the day. Otherwise it may be faster and better for them to fold and start again.

Alternatively they could change their name to Harchester United for a last throw of the dice.

How does a club of their size recover from debt such as that?

They don't, in a very very long time.

Just wondering what the 'end game' will eventually be. A knight in shining armour saving them once again? Dave Allen overseeing another relegation whilst waiting for said knight, splitting the club and keeping the sweetest plum part of the business?
Interesting times for the club that should have a 4-leafed clover as its badge.

What y'mean like JR and us? Thank goodness he came in, I'd hate to think where we'd be playing our footy now without him.
