A record?

Postby 88BenM » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:53 pm

Just wondering, with loads and loads of SPL Players scoring double figures today, is this a record? Certainly since i've been playing i've never known it.

WIL has the SPL world record according to my records.

27 points

10 pts for 4-0 win vs Barnet (Autumn 2005 season)
10 pts for exact goal time
6 points for three of the goal scorers (Barker, Brown and Rundle)
-1 point for Birchall not scoring
and
2pts for attendance.

I meant record for the amount of people that had scored double figures in 1 weekend.

Yeah, there were a lot of double digit scores, 35 in fact for the Ebbsfleet game.

I have had a quick look back through my data and that Barnet match but only had 24 double figure scores.

However, I have come across a couple of matches that beat the 35
41 players achieved double figure points for the 4-1 win against Northampton in Autumn 2004.

But the record I have found so far is 54 players who hit double figures for the 3-0 win against Wrexham in Autumn 2006.

This season's double digit figure record must have been for the Kettering game last Saturday. I counted 49 double-digit scores in all divisions.

Must be the record of the season - so far.

Yes, SS, 49 double-digit players, but still short of the 54 for that Wrexham game.

JR Senior asked a question on another thread about the record points for one division in one game.

The total points for the premiership players on Saturday (265 pts) seems a record for one game in one division. The Wrexham game for the premiership division only achieved a total of 232 pts, but that day only 22 players were in the division as against 25 on Saturday.

I think the double-digit record was broken yesterday. If I am right, I counted 60 players with double-digit scores. Correct me if I am wrong on that.

A bit of a record today in so much as 43 players predicted correct score of a 2-0 win, however one didn't count as it was classed as a late post.

Premier division had a total of 261pts scored, not quite a record because not many folk scored any goal time points. Also only 42 folk scored 10 or more points.

Another high scoring weekend, but only 53 double digit scores for the Barrow 8-1 win.

However premier division amassed a total of 279pts
