If you ever watch Toyah's kitchen karaoke vids on youtube, Toyah's bush is the only thing she isn't flashing.

Putting this into perspective, Dartford were due to play away at Truro on Tuesday night and it got postponed an hour before kick off.

Does anyone remember a Tuesday night home game versus Torquay that, if I rightly recall, was postponed only minutes before the scheduled kick off time.

I sure I was approaching the ground on Quarry Lane when the news came through.

Yes I remember that well and if I recall correctly Hucknall got their game on the same night.

As I’ve alluded to before though, it isn’t just about the temperature but also the amount of moisture in the ground. If your pitch has recently been waterlogged, it’s more likely to freeze so once more it’s probably down to the drainage and not a lot the ground staff can do about it.

That was 'The Day After Tomorrow' type freakish weather. Well above freezing at 6-30 & -10°C by 7-30.

Came out of Early Doors & the dam was freezing over.

I think what I actually said was 'God daaaayym mofo!!! I'm gonna need a bigger coat'.

There we started seeing people heading back to the pub saying the game was off.

I don't think I've ever seen temperatures drop that fast.

Forest Green don't have a fixture on Tuesday night. Neither do we. The pitch will have thawed out by Sunday evening, at worst. And it should be around 13 degrees on Tuesday evening. What are they waiting for?
