What the hell was Lucas doing, you can see the massive shirt pull on the highlights, brain dead moment that could have cost us.

Think Lucas was thinking 'everytime I'm in the area a defender does this to me, so it must be allowed'

Usually it's subtle on Akins. This was blatant smack in front of the ref.

Akins has got to be the most fouled and not given player in history. Man had a bit of a 'mare today,
no damage done though COYS

[quote="arsene wengers coat"]Actually a really steady afternoons work. Crawley weren't much.

First half was a bit laboured. We seemed slow. Akins wasn't at the races, Quinn upped the energy when we needed it, and soon we looked like a side who were rested. 2 quality finishes 2nd half. Nice to see macca and a collectors item for JJOT. Ref was a total Nimrod.

Good game. Goodnight.

Crawley have turned things around after a disastrous start to the season, Think there commentary pair said they had won 5 out of the last 6in all competitions and today was only the 5th game this season they had with all their key players playing. They won the previous 4 of those 5 games. Maybe they are all that much but a better team beat them today.

Great result today with a solid second performance.

Onto Sutton which will be just as difficult

Got to win next week at Sutton now. Bottom of the league and been stuffed with 8 goals at Stockport.

Sutton will be fired up. It won't be easy.

If that is a massive shirt pull (and a penalty) then I look forward to seeing at least another 20 penalties in our remaining games.

I don't think there's been a game all season without a shirt pull in the penalty area. Most matches have several, often on Akins, never punished.

And Flint, we should have about 3 or 4 penalties a game if they're giving them to other teams

Didn’t really look like too much contact on the sending off, more that Quinny was being Quinny and making the most of it, then the player walking himself into a sending off. Great experience from Quinn to get a player sent off from nothing and kill the game. Loved seeing Flint sending the guy off with a few sympathetic comments too.

I've only seen the goals and read the comments but this result was exactly what was needed, a solid away performance where we took our opportunities. The side should be applauded for climbing back on the horse and doing what was needed.

We do seem capable of grinding out these important results away from home, much more so than at home where expectations are higher.

Not only was it nothing, because the guy went down so so easily, the ball was 40 yds away. They had a free kick, which was to their advantage. They weren't even swinging the ball into the box they played it short. So It was soft and not near the ball, so it shouldn't have been. a penalty. It was a ridiculous decision IMO. Doesn't really matter now I accept. We won so no harm done.

I couldn't get to yesterday's game but was wondering how much we missed Reed?
Would you field the same starting XI next week?

What worked well was Clarke battling in the first half and then replaced by the ball playing of Quinn in the second half. Could this work in other games?

Brunt played well in front of the back four. We changed formation in the second half, details in my report.

Having just watched the game back, I thought Orsi was very lucky not to get sent off, petulant little (insert fruit of your choice).

Considering how quick the ref was to get the cards out, Orsi could easily have picked up a couple of yellows.

Is rewatching a match common? Is this something lots of people do and I had no idea? Are y'all treating football matches like GoT? Please respond as I'm scared and suddenly feel very alone.

I usually watch the ten minute highlight video unless there’s a particular incident I want to watch again.
