We are aware that there are different types of properties of ground in one place to another, aren't we?
Your back garden might be sandstone, whereas your mates might be clay. We do understand this don't we???
I mean, it’s still laughable/ludicrous that Clipstone played at home when we were off for the FGR game and today are playing when we’re off again.
I give up.

Just hope that the state of the pitch does not cost us our best chance of promotion in years.

You are comparing apples and oranges

A few years ago I referee'd a Middx County Cup game at Flitwick, next to the ground I was on was another pitch which was being used by the club's Reserve side - the referee on that game came over to have a chat with me about the pitch so I went over and we immediately agreed the pitch was waterlogged and unplayable - the pitch I was on, just 25 yards away, was fine. This facility is one of the new FA funded grounds and the pitches are normally excellent. It happens.
