A 1-0 win via a soft own goal will do for me. Tranmere will be buzzing after yesterday's win.

We'll make hard work of it I think.

Clough to give them a rocket at half time and make subs after another lacklustre first half of misplaced passes.

1-0 win

Flint should stay in the defence all game, this pushing him up front is ludicrous and we lost yesterday because of it. However, this run has been fantastic and all the players and Clough have given us a great run of results. We always bounce back and a home win against a tricky Tranmere should put us back on track. Great support on the road again yesterday.

Biggest game of the season this, it’s always been about how we react to that first league defeat, teams that get promoted react well and with us not having a game at the weekend, it’s a long wait to get back to winning ways if we don’t here.

Every single game is the biggest game of the season. It will be like this until the last game. This should be 3 points to the Stags though.

No, not for home fans, as we have given them over 700 tickets and its pay on the day for them as well.

We suffered our first defeat of the season in the Cup competitions then lost two more, both at home.
It simply must not happen again that we capitulate so and become a team resembling last season's chokers.

Agreed. Tomorrow will tell us a lot about the mentality of the group. Crucially important that we get back to winning ways.

Some tough calls tonight. Bowery will not play and Akins will come in. For me it’s a choice of Quinn for Oates or Maris.

This should be good enough to take the three points.

Pym
Johnson Flint Brunt Cargill
Lewis Maris Reed Quinn
DKD
Akins.

I don’t think there are enough goals in that team to be sure of a win and we would need Oates or A.N.Other to play alongside/off Akins. I think DKD is a must which would mean no place for one of the four midfielders and that could be any of them really. Personally I would leave Quinn out of the starting 11 and bring him on around the 60 minute mark. I agree with the defensive lineup. I would also give Abdullah a place on the bench to freshen things up if we need a goal late on as he brings something a little different.

Not enough goals? 28 of our 32 goals scored are from players in that line up.

I don't agree going 4-4-1-1 is an answer. It's a bit knee jerk after losing our first game.

DkD and Akins are on 17 goals combined. It's not even December yet.

How many of those goals have come from a 4-4-1 lineup though Gazza?

I honestly don’t think that system with those players would be enough against a team who parked the bus. Apart from DKD, who would provide any quick movement up front? I think you would be relying on goals from set plays which is never ideal. We haven’t exactly been prolific scoring directly from free kicks which leaves headers or getting to a second ball first. We need a second striker particularly at home preferably one who can add a bit of pace.

I think Bowery will be dropped after NC saying that he ''needs a rest'' Akins will come in for him, Quinn for Maris, Macca for Cargill.
