Another great win yesterday, a real battling performance. I firmly believe it’s performances like that, that will see us occupy one of the automatic promotion spots. The two outstanding saves by Christy Pym need to be acknowledged, man of the match for me, in a game where goalscorers take the plaudits, let’s show our appreciation of a great goalkeeping performance.

Said it when he was taking some flack on here, he’s a great keeper at this level. We won’t find many better…solid and dependable imo…doesn’t make many big mistakes throughout a season and the defence probably trusts him a lot!

I think that having Adam Collin as keeper coach is helping massively as well.

Pym in his first season i did not know what to make of him, with very few shots on target we were conceding goals but i could not say they were errors
The fans were split between Pym and Flinders and Nigel said Pym is our number one.
There is not much Clough does not know about football, and in him i trust.
I have opinions but only has a amateur and a fan , but i have come to the conclusion of many that In Nigel i Trust.
Pym has shown why Nigel had trust in him.

Nigel knows more about football and footballers than the fans do.Pym and Akins were far from being fans favourites early on but I feel sure they are now.Pretty sure that if you ask their team mates they will agree with the boss.

He has come on leaps and bounds this year and Clough has been fully justified why he stuck with him, when many were calling for a change

Fair play to Pym been excellent this season.

Long may the from continue. To have flinders as backup also, i feel we are blessed in that department.

Having a solid defence in front of him has to help, I feel like with him being shorter and agile having a defender like flint that just heads everything in front covers that potential weakness and chance fall on Christy’s strengths. But to show his class look at how many clean sheet he has over the years not just this one, it’s impressive.

Although there's no doubt that the defence is much improved, Pym has been called into action on many occasions and is the reason that we have such an amazing "goals against" record this season. Almost every game he's made an excellent last ditch save, and he's clearly trusted by all his colleagues. With an average L2 keeper I suspect that we'd still be looking up at the automatic promotion spots, if not the playoff places. Should we get promoted, I'll be surprised if Clough looks for a replacement for a League One campaign.

Stags legend in the making.
