Some truth in that. I think they court the advice of people who aren't necessarily experts too.
However absent bosses make for absent minded staff. Good to have the paymasters present.
As for Sharpe's football brain. I watched him oversee a very minor net improvement from relegation threatened to threatening the playoffs. Hardly meteoric. The other stuff Carolyn could quite easily implement herself, ie ticketing system, cashless etc...

I thought he was a solid, professional person to have around and was doing a good job. He seemed to have his finger on the pulse and could look at things objectively. Think it’s a blow to lose him
