I dont know the ins and outs of whats gone off at accy ,but i can only say that whenever andy holt speaks i tend to think hes an honest and genuine owner of that club ,this statement certainly leaves no doubt as to why the two parties have gone their separate ways i suppose we will hear another version of events from others , but imo he is a man of integrity and i have no reason to doubt his statement

Difficult to argue with that statement if the facts within are honest and truthful.

No doubt there will be another side to the story?

Seen quite a few Accrington Stanley training sessions this season and shocked at how Jimmy Bell especially conducted himself. Proper bully & can't imagine many players will be too upset to see the back of him. Coleman mainly just stood at the side watching & let Bell get on with it.

The owners statement certainly does have a ring of truth about it. And the facts are undeniable- he's funded the club for years. Sounds like the owner / manager relationship has been going stale for a while and Bell in particular doesn't come out of this with much credit. That said I wouldn't consider relegation from league 1 as a failure for a club of that size. Its something of an inevitably. All in all a pretty sad story. I hope they can stabilise and remain a football league team.

Oh Dear

Club Statement | David Flitcroft

"Port Vale Football Club can confirm that David Flitcroft has left his role as the club’s Director of Football."

He must have predicted this on his matrix.

Giving Darren Moore a 5 year contract was a shocking decision

Flitcroft was backed by the owner a few weeks back but the fans wanted him gone, so was always going to happen.

Gary Rowett going back to Birmingham until the end of the season is a roll of the dice from them. Personally I'd love the Blues to come down and for us to go up.

Eustace to Rooney to Mowbray to Rowett is a mad season for them, I know it's only temporary but it won't do anyone any good having 4 managers in one season

They've kept their heads above the water, just, over the last few years with all their off-field issues, and the one season they get all of those issues sorted with new owners, ground back to capacity, etc., they find themselves in trouble. The appointment of Rooney was clearly their biggest mistake.

I'm pretty sure that the appointment of Rooney has been a mistake of every club that's employed him..
In management that is..

Not that unreal.

They would have expected to be challenging for the Autos and to finish 14 points away isn't fantastic.

They've pretty much fallen off a cliff results wise. 9 points and just 2 wins in their last 11 games and the wins came against relegated Carlisle and Burton who were in terrible form.

You could argue it's strange timing with the Play Offs around the corner but maybe their owners thought the rot had set in.

Their fans seem quite happy with the decision on the clubs official FB page, whilst at the same time calling for the board and half the players to go at the same time. Read a couple of comments saying they should give the job to Sir Bobby Hassell.
