RH academy

Postby Frontrowhero » Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:48 pm

Been up tonight for the first official training session. Have to say can't believe we have facility like this at Mansfield town football club, grass pitches aren't ready for first team use but hey we can't complain it's an amazing facility for academy and eventually first team use

All the directors deserve a massive pat on the back and for Vice President the little stand is superb hold 75 seats. I'm sure something like this can be built on bishop street temporarily that could hold 1500-2000 and recoup the money through ticket sales in no time when we get to league 1

Ahh I wondered if it was possible to watch the first team train once they’re there! I wouldn’t mind seeing the set up we’ve now got!

Don't think the grass pitches are first team quality yet mate, won't be long still worth a trip up even if it's not them training

in general, first team training is not open to the public.

Whether there will be an open training session to mark the opening of the RH academy, I don't know. It's expected to be officially opened next month.

The reserves are playing there tomorrow, which is open to the public of course.

and the U18's played there on Saturday, also open to the public.

Just had a look at the fixture list for the reserve matches. Noticed we got County next week at RH Academy. Think it is great for the club and fans, who get the chance to see young and upcoming players, hoping to get into the first team.

Hats off to all involved.

Anybody thinking of attending any reserve games make sure you get there early. Parking is a bit of a nightmare. The car parks not massive.

What a fantastic facility, just hope those trees grow quick as it looks wide open to the elements?

You’re right about it being open to the elements Woody. My parents live on Woburn Road and it blows a gale there most of the time!
