How come its the same time each year? Surely we’d get a bigger crowd in the summer months 8-)

I'm surprised in these PC days the annual 'burn a Catholic day' is still on the calendar.

I didn't go last year but might be open to it this time. I heard it was packed last year. Can you buy a specific seat or is it sit anywhere?

I'm going to the one at the Prolapse. They've built a massive bonfire with all the stuff they don't need anymore... y'know like Football League stuff.

Are tickets still available as Mrs Spartacus’s friend, Catherine Wheel, wants to go.

This is good value and will be a good show, unlike new years eve in the Sandy Pate Bar which has gone up 200% over the last two years with the same offerings each year. I think it will be one empty evening in there.

I think our crowd will be going to New Inn this year.

My seat in IGU is not available. Any ideas why?

If you mean your normal season ticket seat, then they have already sold it to someone else.

;) They only sell tickets for IGL for the bonfire night unless you have a hospitality package

You can't see the fireworks from the upper level. Its not that good at the back of the lower level.

I wondered about the views but the ground seemed packed last year. Did anyone complain about their view?

Surely to solve two problems at once we could top the bonfire with Norman, Old Ram Stag etc and a few others?

Those old white fivers in old ram Stags wallet would take some burning, and wouldn't killing all those moths be labelled animal cruelty in today's snowflake world.

Last year was chaos. No clear indication of ticket and pay on door entrances. Parents trying to get pushchairs in at turnstiles ! Way too many punters. People escorted around ground to north stand as IGL full. Then when it kicked off late people leaving north stand as they couldn't see fireworks and sitting on grass. Didn't complain as I had a good seat !
