Losing patience...

Postby Random Hero » Sat Sep 22, 2018 4:13 pm

I think even after last years capitulation most Stags fans were willing to give the manager a chance to build his own squad and see what he could do into the new season.

Nearly October now and we are 15th.

His record since taking over is P22 W6 D10 L6.

I'm sorry but that simply is not good enough. It's 1.15pts per game.

I think he's got five games to get three wins or... bye bye.

And that’s including cup games is it? Bread and butter of the league is 4 wins in 20 against poor teams.

I’m waiting for genuine reasons why people are happy to continue with Flitcroft for much longer? He should be under immense pressure

Remove the cup games and it's 4 wins in 20... which is disgusting, if I'm honest.

Completely agree considering he took over a side that was 4th in the league. It would be a poor record if he had taken over a lower mid table side!

You look at the likes of Lincoln again today, must have been banging the door down until they finally scored in the 95th minute to win again today, we don’t have that mentality at all and that’s what it takes to go up

This whole team from back to front is a team of bottlers. The manager and players are equally at fault imo. WE ARE SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

Beyond a joke now. Cant hold a lead and that is squarely down to the manager.
4 yes 4 wins in 20 is relegation form. I was all for giving him a chance after last years debarcle, but NOTHING has changed,
We were hanging on for dear life v Carlisle at the end and just got away with it fgs.
Sorry but if he is still here at xmas our season will be over by them
Time to go

And Exeter, 2-1 up but kept attacking and got a third, if we had the mentality to keep attacking I believe we would hammer most teams, but sitting back inviting them to attack always leads to the inevitable it seems. Not been today so can't comment too much, but very disappointed AGAIN.

I'll give him five more games.

That's 10 more than he should have had.

So happy I purchased the member card and didn’t part with a wad of money for a ST. If this team doesn’t put 100% effort in why should we. Another average season!!!

Completely agree. Never trusted a Flitcroft managed side, the QLE membership was a no brainer.

Best bunch of players we have had in nearly twenty years and yet winning football games just seems beyond them under this manager, Not gonna call for his head but some serious question marks about current tactics,
He needs to start winning a few before Xmas or even the patient fans may turn their backs on him.

4 wins from 20. Win percentage of 20%.

Agreed, I’d give him 3 games. Northampton and Oldham should be 4 points minimum

Do they necessarily have to be the next two games ?

To the staticians out there, what is DF's lose ratio?

6/18 league matches is 33.33% lose ratio.

Give him to the end of the season unless we are in danger of the drop.

So we’re 16th in March and not in danger but you would keep him? Fantastic after all the money JR has invested!

When SE left and we all mentioned different managers who we would like to take over very few if any thought of David Flitcroft.
I didn't and I said at the time I would have liked to see us approach DRFC for Darren Ferguson as things had already started to turn sour for him there.

Flitcroft was appointed and we hoped he would see us promoted.......we failed miserably.

In the summer Flitcroft made such a big play (anf he had a point tbf) about the inbalance in the squad and how it was too heavy with CM's and lacked wingers etc.

As the signings came in in pre season he needed to strentghen at full back in both posistions and failed to bring anyone in and then started to play a system with players playing out of position.

As a whole the club have still not replaced matt Green in the goalscorer stakes, Green ran the line superbly at times and always looked good for a goal....we have no movement up top and cannot kill games off
We hear his interviews and if you knew no better you would think he knows what he's doing and things will turn good.

I am not convinced and think the time is right for him to be removed.....before the season really goes downhill.

PS......Ferguson is still available
