Reserve Game v Doncaster

I know we missed a game due to Internationals but any reason why we are risking important players in a meaningless friendly? Especially Bishop given his age.

Wow I am surprised at that clearly the boss is not happy with Saturdays performance

The only reason I can think of is he wants them to get Saturdays loss out their system as soon as possible, thinking it’s better to go in to Saturday off the back of a ‘win’ than a loss. We do actually have to win though...

Still a bit of a strange decision if you ask me.

This is central league so only 3 subs can be made. So all but 3 of that XI will play the full 90.

I find it a bit odd but the manager knows best. Listening to most footballers they’d prefer to play than train so maybe not as exhaustive as perceived, just the risk of injury but you can get a silly tackle just as easily in training.

Impressive, time to transfer this to when it really matters.

That might actually be really good management especially if we end up winning on Saturday.

I think after Saturday we lacked match sharpness that Exeter had after the international break, this will be getting minutes under the belt for some players

You're on the money there.
Obviously it affected the team not being in competitive action for a while. Good match fitness builder imo.

completely agree, hopefully it is carried into Saturday and they are all that bit sharper in both boxes.

It’s very encouraging and good to see, well done to the lads, hopefully confidence will have improved.

Hopefully it’ll be transferred to Saturday and a confident win for the lads and DF - I’m sure he’ll be looking to improve that dodgy league record soon.

I'm sure I read that it was 3 subs. Perhaps changed to allow more development time. I dunno.
