:D
We take on the High flyers of the league and it would be great to go there and bag up on the chances we are creating :mtfc:
Makes it bit more of a game with it being against the gimps and is always great to get one over them.

I wouldn't want any first team regulars in this.

Don't think he'll play Pearce Sweeney or OSJ if they are going on international duty. In fact KP may already be on the plane

Don't think our three current "Internationals" will play a part.

Wow, who thought we would ever have three current international pkayers at the club at one time?

With the Crewe postponement there’s less of a need to rest players for this game. I’d give our internationals a break and give a few fringe players minutes like Logan, Atkinson and Mellis etc.

Lincoln appear to take this cup seriously so I’ll go for 1-1

I think John Radford would care when we get a £5000 fine!

I'm looking forward to it, I don't share the hatred of this competition others have on here, it is financially rewarding and gives the manager the opportunity to see other members of the squad in a competitive environment. Yes the U21 thing is a joke, but it is this which means it can be very lucrative, Lincoln made an absolute mint last season. Be good to see how much talent we have in the 2nd string and youth ranks., plus I only live a few miles away :D

Anyone in the UK can watch the game on iFollow, but it is not free. £10 for a match pass
https://www.mansfieldtown.net/ifollow/subscribe/

If you are an iFollow subscriber, log in, and go to the page above

If you not an iFollow subscriber, you will need to create an account, by going to the same link above and registering for a "free pass" first, before you purchase the match pass. Make sure that once you created your account, you are logged in when you buy the match pass and then later also logged in when you go to watch the match.

My only concern is that Lincoln tend to take this competition seriously, i dont fancy our chances if they play their first team and we rest players.

Taking advantage of the discounted admission and taking 3 pensioners who haven’t been to a game in years.

Hopefully, as we have such a well rounded squad they may want to come again. But then again......

Anyway two nil to the mighty Stags and the highlight of the night being Old Ram Stag’s wallet being opened for the first time this season.

Just seen an article on Twitter, DF has said admission to all group stage matches should be free.

If that happened clubs would be running at a loss, they should at least be allowed to cover their costs (eg stewarding, Police etc). I think a tenner and £2 for kids is about right, though kids free would be even better.

I think I read somewhere that the EFL already cover any losses by the clubs due to low attendances so it would be a bit cheeky to expect them to cover even more losses!

I think more offers should be put on the table though, i know it's £10 adults but that's the same as our 2nd round tie at WBA last week which was a much more appealing game.

Notts County at Home is more appealing than Yeovil at Home, still the same price though.
