The ‘unbeaten’ rhetoric is clutching at straws if you ask me. You could be unbeaten all year but if you draw games at our rate you’ll find yourself in mid table yet again.

We need to be a lot more clinical, and Flitcroft needs to be man enough to take walker off when it’s not happening for him, instead of taking our most technical player off.

Well if you draw every game by and large you go down. Over a course of a season flitcroft S 17 games in charge would see us in or around the relegation zone.

I thought tranmere and Macc werenperfect chances to pick up 4 or 6 points, to only pick up 2 is pretty poor. I expect a win against Carlisle next week.

Why did anyone think he would be any different to the end of last season?
He took over a team good enough to be in the playoff position and we fell away
I'd still sooner be mid table with him than have fatty back
But surely we knew what we were getting?

Yes, we are still unbeaten

Drawing to the worst team in the league! Great result! So happy with the game today we played really well.

Happy now? :mtfc:

Are they the worse team in the league?

Who is bottom?

Give it time.

Notts have spent a fortune on players, look where they are.

I'm disappointed with the result. We needed a win. We didn't, that's football.

Naturally after seeing the Yeovil second half and today’s second half performance I am pretty angry. Macclesfield have 1 point before this game, at home to Cheltenham. It’s only a few games in but we don’t look good enough. Yeah it’s great we’re unbeaten but if we draw every game till the end of the season where do we end up?

Cheltenham won away today. Early days. Best time to judge is after 12 games.

Mel ... You cannot be serious!

Mid table rather than 3rd or top 6?

And Fatboy is Top of League 1 5 wins from 5 games

First half, we looked ok, they looked really poor

Second half, looked a match between two bottom six teams

The second half performance by the Stags was dire. They seemed to that the game was over at half time. If we continue like we will be in a relegation fight

That's the trouble with us we go 1-0 up and think t'job's done, but we've been there too many times now and it goes tits up too often.

Decided not to go to this one, saving my money for West Brom - turned out to be a good move. But judging from today's commentary, we'll take quite a thumping on Tuesday night. You can never be sure in football though, and perhaps they'll pull their socks up for the cup.

They've tended to look a bit tired and jaded in the matches I've seen so far, so perhaps Flitcroft should try and get that spark back? Last season in general they were the fittest side around, and were well known for throwing everything at the opposition in the last few minutes (well, until the last few matches). This season they already look like they've played 40 games, and when they need to press for a winning goal they don't seem to have the oomph. Yes, the tactics are a bit dubious and I really don't like how Hamilton is being forced onto his (very) weak side just when he learnt how to get a quick cross in, but I feel that with a little more get up and go we'd have a couple more wins on the board.

What makes it worse today is that Macc we’re absolutely garbage. Definite relegation fodder.

Just to be clear, I never said that, or anything like it. I can't remember if Dean did. I did say we were appalling in the second half today.

I am in the Once bitten twice shy camp, but I do believe he is a far better manager than Flittcroft.

Bishop was our best player by a mile today in my opinion. Very few others were at the races.

Those substitutions were appalling today, especially Sterling-James, who never made a completed pass to another Stags player, in all the time he was on the pitch.

Well if you said we were appalling ( I'm not questioning your judgement ), I can understand why Bradders has come to that conclusion.

I can also understand all the doom and gloom on here.

Standards ? Flipflop seems a really decent bloke I'll give you that it also seems like he's a raspberries manager unfortunately.

He was out thought in the second half today, they brought on 3 subs, stopped hoofing it and played everything down our left, where Mal was missing in action due to the WB system.

Flitters hadn't the nous to adapt or change it to combat it, he kept the same shape and every sub weakened us, well found out today

Stop slating the manager. He has to put a team of eleven out every game.He can only put out the players at his disposal as he did today.Gibbens on his debut did okay,Sterling James came on off the bench. That is why he is on the bench. We missed Preston and White today.I will have a bet with any of the know-alls on here that we will finish at least in the play-offs.

It's his team playing his system he deserves criticism . Do you still believe in Father Christmas ?
