Great result. Well done everyone involved and who went. Gutted I didn't bother.

Pleased we still have Rose and that he's back in the sqaud. If he gives his all and gets some goals most will move on from wjats happened.

A bit red faced is an under-statement. Some might even stop calling him flip-flop!

A brilliant, outstanding, fantastic result, better than anything Evans managed.

No red faces yet. I'm obviously pleased with how the season has started... bit early for people to start claiming any high ground yet though. We've won 2 games, and one was a mostly meaningless cup game. A great moral booster for everyone though.

Well done Flipper. Keep up the good work.

Listened to the commentary and it sounded like £20 was good value for money - wish they'd told us before the match that it was going to be a humdinger!

I honestly can't remember a performance of that quality in my nearly 30 years of watching the Stags. Unbelievable Jeff.

WOW!!! One of the best Stags performances I've seen in my lifetime. It honestly could have been 8/9 if we wanted to, if we play like that every week then we'll walk the league.

What an excellent performance that was tonight. Even before they went 1-0 up we were on top. Can’t fault anybody for that performance - great for Walker to get the goals, Butcher looked revived, Khan influential again when on the ball, and Mellis played well too, particularly for the last goal! Looking forward to the draw Thursday, let’s hope we’re rewarded for playing a strong side.

It is not too early to give the manager a fair crack, something you were not prepared to do. Also Flipper? You truly are an infant.

Just got back what a cracking display by the team tonight. Went a goal down from a good move but didn't panic and set to an average Accy side. Brilliant by all on the pitch, a great display. Rose showed great humility tonight and even though not fully match fit worked hard when he came on. We'll applauded and no negativity from our fans. Butcher needs to come off the transfer list tonight, Sweeney had a composed debut but Walker and Khan are a master stroke. 11 goals in three games, This is a different group of players to the ones we saw at the end of the season, well done David Flitcroft, we looked fitter than Accy, so brilliantly shown by Macca who worked his socks off. Well done Stags, onwards and upwards.

I have seen some good Stags sides, and watched some good games in my time but I can't remember a better complete performance by a Stags team in over 40 years of watching them.
On the way out a Accrington fan said she thought we we're superb and derserved to win by more.
Lets hope we can replicate the performance in the League

I've been one of Flitcrofts biggest critics and didn't trust him one bit before the season started.

But for out and out football that was one of the best performances i've seen in 20 years. That last goal I think was the best goal i think i've ever seen us score - so fair play.

I'd like to see the strongest team possible but not Rose unless he has withdrawn his transfer request.

So do you wish you had gone?

Well worth £20 of anyone's money.

Really was a brilliant goal, Mellis superb. was delighted when Hamilton smashed it in as the build up deserved a goal.

WE WERE BETTER ALL OVER THE PARK TONIGHT

Postby EdwinstoweStag » Tue Aug 14, 2018 9:34 pm

You could never have known which team was from L1 and which was from L2.

It’s the best performance Stags have put in for a VERY LONG TIME. Everywhere on the park we were superior to Accy. Perhaps the only player open to a degree of criticism was Mellis.

Good to see Danny come on a grab a goal.

Good, stable performance from Sweeney on his debut, and great to see that Butcher can actually play!

We played great all night and fully deserved this emphatic win.I just hope Flitcroft realises that CJ has to play down the left.He is wasted at right back.Butcher was excellent and Mellis has great vision and sees passes that nobody else can see.We have the best squad since the Lawrence Greenacre days.If we beat Colchester Saturday we will believe that we are on the way up.Yeovil apparently missed two pens against Villa.Yeovil are a decent side so the draw down there looks a good result.

Mellis looked a bit off the pace first half and gave it away a couple of times, but his turn, run and pass for Hamilton's goal was class.
