Most likely, they'll fix up the defence in January and just about survive. They always scrape it. I was at Meadow Lane when they survived relegation to the Conference on the last day of the season. Gutted I was.

Accrington didn’t need money to go up.

True, but they built a promotion squad over a number of years.

Notts are trying to buy promotion. It doesn't necessarily work, as we know.

Let’s be honest we have seen worse keepers.

Yeah, but Logan isn't one of them.

Jean had 8 clean sheets in 11 games, not bad going.

No one club, player or fan deserves promotion either it has to be earnt the hard way.

But it wouldn't be what WE deserve would it! WE deserve automatic promotion. If the worst did happen and we got relegated (way too soon for that talk yet) any deserving should be laid fair and square on the person(s) responsible for assembling this pile of garbage. (4th best defence my arse!!).
4th best with Yates in front of it. Absolute crap once he left and absolute crap that he wasn't replaced (as near as possible) or the defensive weakness sorted last Jan and this close season. Don't even mention goalkeepers or CB!!!

Last minute loans and free transfers well into the season after a manager sacking. Hardly a good start.

Evina is a cracking signing, pacey athletic LB, would give Benning a run for his money imo.

Hence the reason he’s only just joined the bottom club of the entire football league.

He'll need to be pacey, if he's having to cover LB, GK and both CB positions :P

To put it into context, Jamie Turley is a 30 year old defender who has made 159 of his 165 league games in non-league, was released by Newport in the Summer and hasn't had a club since. The only time he played in the league, Newport loaned him back to non-league after 6 games (one of which was 3-2 defeat at home to us). If we had signed him this site would glow red.

Turley played for Crawley last season but was then released by...Harry Kewell!

Bet Kewell is glad to have him back on board.

I remember the game at Crawley - I thought that their left back was the best player on the pitch .... I think it was Evina.
