As i bought it on my phone, do i have to watch on my phone or can i beam it to my TV? Or does it restrict that sort of wizardry!

you can watch on laptop, tablet or phone - just log in

I'll be "beaming" it to the TV using a tablet. If it's a modern TV it's easily done via Smart Share. I think that iPhones can't do it, but any Android device should work.

Use smart share or just cast it via a web browser onto any decent smart TV and you'll be fine.

Yeah but my point is, do they allow it to be beamed or do they block it. Sky Go app doesn't allow it to be beamed. I guess I'll find out later eh?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

It depends which browser you use, chrome is usually ok but as you say can be restricted. I moved away from Chrome for that reason (when casting to TV) and use "web video caster" app on andriod which you can cast anything to a smart TV. Couple of quid £3? For the premium version with no ad's .

Id expect it to be in the apple store aswell and there will be other browsers that do the same thing.

Not sure where the browser comes into it or why you need another app. I've simply used the Android feature "Smart View", which links a TV screen to whatever you have displayed on your mobile screen. This works as long as there's some sort of Smart Share feature on the TV. As the iFollow app has no idea that you're projecting it in this way, I don't see how it can be blocked. You can test it on one of the iFollow videos.

This issue i have with smart view on occasions is that it doesn't fill the screen unfortunately and appears like a box within a box (maybe I'm doing something wrong to get the full screen).

I just find web video caster does exactly what I need so haven't had to look further into it.

Either way we both agree that there are ways and means to project the image from a device onto the TV. Its just down to personal preference which method is used :)

Even I've managed to do this. I'm going to hold my phone right before my eyes and pretend it's a 50" screen.

I plan to use the browser on my smart tv to access i-follow and watch there without the need to casting it.

Is your theory limited to phones (or does it apply to other things)?

it’s a pity Maplins has gone under. They’d do a roaring trade for leads for these games. Anyway, I’ll be mirroring from my MacBook to tv via the mini - hdmi cable. Can’t go wrong with cables. It worked when they showed the Blackpool chicken feed game last season perfectly

I did try that but the videos don't play so I imagine that the live match won't play either.

Same here, it doesn't play on my tv. We have tried for an hour to get it working, watching on PC instead.
