We'll be playing Olejnik at centre half at this rate.

At least that should free up some funds.

Sounds like he wanted to play center midfield. Hopefully free up some funds for that center half.

Shame, I thought he could have been a good player given the chance. Wish him all the best with the vegans.

Depends how much Forest Green have paid for him, will this allow us to keep Rose?

I doubt it, DF interview regarding the strikers was only last night/this morning. He would of been anticipating the Digby transfer.

Well that's one out. This nearly happened three weeks ago. Fans were talking about this possible transfer at the Retford friendly.

Now we have freed up funds we can bring in a dedicated Centre Half without the need to move on both rose and angol. As a result i would think their asking prices just increased as we dont need to sell both now.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Thought Digby looked good when he played center half but good luck to him.

That 30 minutes at right back against Crawley last season was one of the worst performances i've seen from someone in a Stags shirt, really bad.

Apart from that, looked okay. Don't think he'll be a great loss.

For me we need two defenders now.

I'm a bit disappointed in this . I don't think the lad ever let us down . Every team needs thay utility player who goes quietly about his job . I think Digby was that player . Hope this don't turn out to be a bad week

Either 2 centre backs or 1 and a right wing back depending on where he sees White playing for me.

I agree. Not overly pleased that we’re days away from the season and we’re so short at the back, we’re lucky Gibbons looks a decent prospect. Injuries and suspensions will always play a part and it could hurt us if we’re not careful, especially if the forward lads move on too.

that would leave us with: New CB, Pearce, Gibbens, White, Benning, Preston, Hamilton.

I think we need another right wing back.

He wouldn’t have been released unless there was a replacement already lined up.

They can all do a job there yes, but say we pick up an injury and white has to play CB, would you be happy for them mentioned above to play a long period of the season there?

I dont think Anderson is realistic with recent comments made.

I'm thinking that DF already sees White as a CB

I agree Doomy.

We can always use Paul Anderson as cover at right wing back.
