Sorry, but you can't equate being called a jock to having the N word thrown at you and no one call you out on it. And I am a sweaty.

So back on topic, we know the club will support KP and so must we in every way we can. Songs, banners whatever it takes.

Cowards like Forestieri do and say stuff like this on the sky, I really hope their is enough evidence to prove what a snake he is, and he gets the lengthy ban he deservers.

The club have done the right thing.

There could be backlash still though, as I doubt there will be any hard evidence to back up the allegation and a lack of evidence will be treated by Wednesday fans as evidence that it didn’t happen, rather than lack of proof that it did.

Was told by CJ after the game that the police were involved and they'd advised Pearce to press charges. Do you honestly believe if there was no evidence he would have been given this advice

I'm assuming for analytical reasons, there is a fixed camera which covers the whole pitch. That should show any incident.

I am completely baffled by the fact they are using that picture of Mellis as justification and ignoring the fact that all ensued from Forestieri punching Butcher not from the race allegation.

Both incidents involved the same player from their side but trying to justify one from the other is bonkers.

A lot will depend of witness statements of people within hearing and sight of it all which will be difficult and it may turn out not enough evidence to do anything.
I agree investigation needed but shame in some ways it is to be investigated fully as this will drag on for months no doubt and of course wont help KP focus.
Only other suggestion is a shake of hands and agree to move on and apologise where necessary as some of it was probably hand bags at dawn to start with but guess that will not happen now and don't think there will be many more 'friendlies' with Sheff W in the future.

It was in the referee's match report, I read the FA Spokesperson tweet as though they'd already started an investigation, as it was before we had put the statement out yesterday.

To be fair, there were a number of Wednesday fans on their forum saying that this was worrying and that they would hate to have a 'dirty racist' in their ranks. There are always those who turn a blind eye or claim that 'the race card' is being used, but we all know what kind of people those are. I don't think Wednesday have any more of them than any other club.
