Injuries

During the game v Sheffield Wednesday a couple of players had injuries ( Not due to the brawl) White and Preston in particular. Just wondered if anyone knows the current situation.

Think Hayden White's substitution was precuationary as he seemed to take a blow to the head, he certainly looked alright in the melee at the end. Think Preston landed awkwardly when blocking a shot, may just be a dead leg or a bump hopefully.

Flitcroft:

“Matty Preston has tweaked something in his back from that challenge in the first half, which we will look at tomorrow. It was an unbelievable tackle - a fair tackle and he won the ball but came out the wrong side of it. It stiffened up at half-time."

“Hayden has settled down now. I was worried to begin with. He’d taken a whack to the nose but it was more a precaution.”

I would guess the next injury update will be 5pm on Saturday.

You can see what happened to White in the build up to the Wednesday goal. Think he headed the back of Mal's head when they were both trying to get the ball clear.

Thanks Martin. Hopefully Pearson will be ok as he has been outstanding so far.

Nothing official released but knee apparently and potential surgery, so doesn't look good as it would probably be a 2 month lay off.

If that’s accurate then we don’t offer a contract. We aren’t a charity.

That's right. It's a different situation to that of Diamond and Murfin.

We definitely need another centre half, but one who is not carrying an injury.

Having said that I feel sorry for Cameron.

I think most of us have.

Had he been fit, he would have been a great acquisition.

Unfortunately we must look elsewhere. Poor chap, but that’s sport.
Are we only a defender short, or another striker/midfielder too?

Definitely not a striker. You could argue we're a winger short if we don't play 3-5-2 all season. Plenty of CM's also.

I'd imagine Cameron will be struggling for any club to sign him up. So perhaps we can at least offer him a 'pay per display' sort of contract?

Shame really.

Without costing the club, I hope we help his recovery in anyway we can.

I agree. He deserves that.

Pity, because his experience of captaining a promotion winning side would have been great for us.
