KP has confirmed that FF called him a "nigger".

Nice one Dan great pics. Pearce’s brother has since deleted the tweet ‘at the request of the club’.

Didn’t like to say before but I though something like that may have happened with the way Pearce was acting. He was chasing him around for a good five minutes before the flare up.

Cheers mate.

The Mirror report says KP was sent off, I didn't see him get sent off, I saw DF take him off!

I also agree the fight should have a thread of its own because the way we played is going to get lost in here.

Great togetherness from our boys tonight in the face of severe provocation.

Reminded me of the ‘99’ call from the 74 Lions tour.

Well done lads.

Up the Stags.

Disgusting from Forestieri, there's no place for it in any walk of life. I did wonder why Pearce reacted in the way that he did, he looked fuming as he approached the West Stand and booted that ball.

Foriesteri caused all of the problems tonight. From the minute he was denied the penalty appeal he totally lost it and the referee did nothing to stop him. He charged after Haydn White and fouled him. He then put in a reckless challenge over the far side on ?Benning. He could then be seen arguing with Pearce for the next ten minutes with lots of finger pointing from Pearce. Just before his final challenge, which would have deserved a red card in any game, Pearce had pulled him to the ground as Wednesday attacked and he took revenge on the next Stags player he saw. The referee should have had the situation under control before this but was probably a bit lax due to it being a friendly.
The scenes that followed from both teams were pretty disgraceful for professional footballers whatever the provocation.
Thankfully Flitcroft was aware enough to get Pearce, who was visibly very angry, away from the situation. It’s a shame that the same can’t be said for the Sheff Weds coaching team.
The scenes at the final whistle were astonishing. I didn’t see the start of it (Foriesteri and Butcher?) but there were players charging all over the place throwing punches and kicks. I did see a Kung fu type kick from one of our players ( not naming home here ) to the stomach of Lees. It looked more in self defence as he was backing away from Lees who kept coming towards him.
As for the racist (not racialist- a pathetic watered down word) element. If this is true then action needs taking. And yes an Italian can be racist, just as any person can be.

On a lighter note, the referee looking around to try and find Pearce to book him was very amusing.
Also when Sheffield Wednesday had a corner in the first half and formed the ‘love train’ did anyone else see Otis come out of the line and run behind the Wednesday players to have a look at the number of the player he would be marking. It amused me anyway...

Interesting footage particularly of KP and FF just before the bad tackle and first brawl.

To be honest, the best way to deal with twitter is to press uninstall.

The entire platform is riddled with belmers.

Wednesday fans on the Star comments section giving FF a slating stating he's up to his old tricks.

(It's a J Press publication, so takes an hour to load, but they seem to be laying blame on FF)
