"Zander's had a back injury since last season that's not healed, he's still not recovered and he could need surgery on it. It's bad news for Zander, he's seeing a specialist and getting a second opinion."

Glad to see Digby might be in with a chance to come back into the fold
I do think he can offer us something
Mirfin and Diamond will be out of the picture it seems come what may.

We need a couple more centre halfs and cover at right back.

We're gonna massively miss Rhys Bennett this season.

And for what it's woth I don't believe Zanders supposed injury is as bad as they're spinning it. He didn't want to be here after his fellow countryman previous manager left.

I'll tell you summat else an all..

If I was off wok for about 2 years we a bad back I'd be speaking regularly with representatives from the DWP.

Not bad is it? Few grand a week for going to gym now and then. Mirfin should be wearing a black and white striped leotard and his kit bag have SWAG wrote on it. What a piss take.

Digby can cover both those positions.

We have some good young defenders like Wilder and Gibbens ready to step up, don’t waste money on more bench warmers.

He almost said in the radio interview I heard, that we will be playing 3 at the back and 2 wing backs.

In all my years watching the Stags various managers have tried it and its never brought success.

The only time it remotely looked like producing was years ago under Parkin with Steve Harper bombing up and down.

The players at our level cant do it and where does it leave our 'wingers', as the wingbacks are nearly always 'full backs' so you are starting with 5 defenders no matter how you dress it up.

Ill give it a chance knowing inside that it wont work, afterall France and Real Madrid have just won the two biggest prizes with a solid back four, that tells it own story?

Chelsea won the league and FA cup with three at the back.

Give it a chance, see if it works, if it doesn't change.

I know Andy but it looks like Paul Digby is on his way out. We should have done all we could to hang on to Rhys Bennett especially if we are playing three at the back. I would also be very nervous about signing Nathan Cameron due to his injury record especially after Mirfin and Diamond last season.

I agree Rhys Bennett will be missed.

Can't understand why his contract wasn't renewed last season. Oh hang on a minute .........

Lincoln fans were impressed with Scott Wharton who they had on loan from Blackburn Rovers last season. He is a left sided centre half.

I'd rather have one of youngsters like Gibbins or Wilder be backup than a young lad from another team.
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

Well the "walk away" manager clearly wasn't.

He should have been signed up well before DF took over.

Only because we can't get rid of those on the transfer list.

Anderson can play full back and wingback.
Digby can play across the back 3.

Keep them.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
