Pleased about this. He never had a consistent run in the side. Hopefully he will this time.

Probably taken a wage cut?
Not my favourite player but must have something going for him.

Will give him another chance to impress.

He had plenty of games under Evans but showed little.I would say he was the only player better under Flitcroft than Evans so probably worth another punt.

Perhaps means we’re not interested in Coke, not seen him in any of the Portugal pics.

Id take Anderson off too, both could be good squad players when needed.

Pleased. Always steady for me with lots of energy.
Saves paying agent fees or gambling for another squad midfielder.
Nice one DF

Spot on . He came with a excellent reputation . You don't become a bad player overnight. I think a lot if players will find their form under the manager . Evans style of play and constant swapping of the team helped no one .

I still wouldn't mind Digby staying .

For me, Anderson and Digby are worth keeping, especially if an agreement could be reached re lower wages, unlikely but you never know?

Has Diamond travelled?

Flitcroft obviously going for young uns with positive attitude and old uns with the same...

Always liked Atkinson’s application and interviews as he sounds up for it...lacking a bit last season but came good later on so could be a shrewd move. Good experience

I liked atkinson. He didnt excite or do much wrong, but was steady and i think he has a good work ethic. As shown by his attitude to work his way into the managers plans. Well done will.

Would also echo that id like anderson to stay. Think hes actually a good right sided player.

am i the only one who thought his legs had gone?

not sure what he brings to the party next season & i seem to remember reading JR told the manager not to keep him, i guess he must have agreed to reduced money & so time will tell if the he made the right call on him.

Maybe putting them on list was to fire them up a bit, to see who really wants to stay and fight for the Stags. Well done Atko!!!

I'll just repeat what plenty of Stags' fans said to me last season: "His legs have gone!!"

I like his attitude and work rate but lacked a bit for me. I found he was good at chasing down a ball winning it and then passing straight back to the opposition, sort that last bit out and he’ll do well for us.

Atkinson was played mostly on the wing last year wasn't he? I think he'd be better suited to CM because he hasn't got the pace to be a winger but will be an important squad player this season

He's an ok back-up, nothing more. Let's not rewrite history by pretending he was anything more than anonymous for most of last season. No thanks on Anderson. Diamond and Digby not travelled it would seem so probably off. I've got a feeling Butcher will also be given another chance.

Didn't DF play him in most of the awful run in, he was a huge part of the problem offering absolutely nothing?

Gutted about Digby, think he's got real potential and we'll regret letting him go.

I too remarked, during the season, re Atkinson's legs being gone etc. He has experience and will be useful back up but I hope he isn't used as a sub to come on and lock down midfield to see a game out, he certainly can no longer do that.
Don't know the story behind Butcher, fat man hailed him on arrival, showed little or nothing, his body language on the field was terrible. Shipped out down south, allegedly, at his request and still failed, it seems, to perform. Big mistake on big wages, thanks to Evans.

Doesn't matter what players Radford wants to keep or buy, he doesn't run the football team, Flitcroft does.
