The view from N block

The draw is just about fair
Rhead the best player by far
C J Hamilton was a waste of a shirt
Palmer is still a nob

Hamilton was excellent first half, so hardly a waste of a shirt. I'm not sure what happened at half time though as he seemed to be unable to run at players any more. Have to agree on the rest though (although I'm not sure that Palmer is royalty). Rhead was a nightmare from start to end.

Macdonald was our worst player by a mile but everyone will still say he was MOM coz he runs around (albeit like a headless chicken) a lot.

MacDonald did okay, he was basically the only central midfielder after 11 minutes in the first half because King disappeared after the booking.

Not his best night tonight for MacDonald, gave the ball away a few times in bad areas. White was outstanding and deserved his MoM, good decision by Flitcroft to bring him back in, also good decision to get Byrom on at half time and also Spencer did OK when he came on for the tiring Hemmings.

White robbed the motm award, don’t think he made a pass to a yellow shirt all night. Benning likewise

Hamilton was missing all game both defensively
and in attack. You could have put a cardboard cutout on and it would have been as effective.

You do wonder what some fans were watching. Benning was far from awful, he was our best player in the first half.

Pearce, who is usually reliable, was poor. No idea why he was marking Rhead, should've been Bennett who it taller than him. Weak clearing header by Pearce for the goal too, but Logan should've saved it.

White was incredible tonight, he stopped so many Lincoln attacks and set up our goal with a gorgeous cross. How can anyone argue that performance?!

Bennington was shocking his distribution was abysmal shooting terrible
macdonald was playing way too deep
the ball just coming straight back
rhead a good box player causes mayhem for defenders
fair result there shots on and off target better
hope the manager as seen what I and everyone else has and sorts it

We were a shambles for large periods of that game. Worrying times.

Absolute rubbish foxy. A battling performance against a very direct side
A number of players could have done better and will
These are not worrying times but no doubt you hope the wheels come off so you can post your negative garbage

just my opinion yorkstag. They didnt look like they knew what the were doing especially for the first 20 minutes and some chaotic defending. Worst performance since Chesterfield.

Benning looked quality first half, but faded badly in the second. In one 2 minute spell I counted him lose the ball 4 times.

White was immense. Bennett good until the red. Pearce struggled, Logan struggled first half but got better second, but should have saved the goal.

Me too Jake. That's got to be rescinded. It wasn't even a foul!

At least Diamond will be back Saturday. He is our best defender.Cant wait for Mirfin to get to play alongside him.Probably not ready though. What is not playing Mellis all about. He is our most skilful player.Perhaps not the type of game for him?

White played well.. only player that did..

hard from him as Anderson so all over the pitch apart from the right wing.. no white had no one infront of him..

I'm very disappointed in the game.. we gave the away cheaply every attack and didn't win many headers (attackers or defenders) - played off the park and lucky it was only a draw..

Ok here goes I thought all in all a point was probably fair but having hung on for so long it was disappointing we didn't see it through.

Well its all about opinions and hindsight is a wonderful thing but when you looks at it all our new boss was on a hiding to nothing last night. If he had made sweeping changes it would have been a huge worry for most but when you look at their team we where not set up to deal with them at all. I love Bennett and Pearce and for what its worth thought Bennett was man of the match but against Rheady for me Diamond would have been the better option. In their midfield you have Bostwick, Woodyard and Frecklington on paper tough to find a better trio in this league and abysmally wasted in the lump it Lincoln style but we put them up against a young loanee and a lad who has been playing centre midfield for 3 months, its a no contest. Been impressed with King but as someone said as soon as he got booked he disappeared. Now this may be controversial but for me Macca is wasted in the middle of the park he doesn't have the control to be effective there long term his energy would be much better deployed on the wing with either Mellis or Byrom in the middle.

Now for me I cannot fathom in any way how White was man of the match I thought he was shocking he had a 30 second spell where he set up the goal but other than that he was dreadful, distribution was poor and he was wildly out of position on numerous occasions but as I say all about opinions.

May have been covered on other threads but no Miller or Penney on the bench?
